Meet our Founder: Viv Bednarczyk
Viv is an Independent Education Consultant specialising in the improvement of SEND. She is a highly regarded yet approachable professional whose testimonials speak for themselves.
Previously SENCO for over 25 years at a large and flourishing 11-18 Academy, Viv founded Essential Consulting to share her wide experience and commitment to exceptional SEND practice.
Whether working directly with children, young people and their families, or at strategic level with school leaders, Viv is eager to share her passion, drive and expertise to make a difference for children and young people with SEND.
She is currently Consultant SENCO at Strive Alternative Provision in North Yorkshire, provides regular SENCO consultancy for Harrogate Grammar School Academy Trust and manages EHCP provision for post 18 students in Leeds and Rotherham Local Authorities.
Essential Support for Families
Four in ten children will need special educational support at some point in their school life. It is an everyday matter, and yet parents frequently struggle to get the right provision for their child.
A special educational need means anything that makes it harder for a child to learn than his or her classmates. So as well as the recognised disabilities, this includes problems such as mental health difficulties, post-adoption issues, gender querying, and so on, which all impact on school life
